- Szeretném én elengedni az irányítási vágyat, Kriszta, de nem megy. Tudom, hogy nem segíti a párkapcsolataimat, sőt, megnehezíti, hogy boldogan éljek bárkivel is. De úgy tűnik nekem, ez nem pusztán annyi, hogy elhatározom: abbahagyom az irányítást. Mi van ennek a mélyén? Hogyan tudnám valóban átalakítani?
Örültem az egyéni konzultációban feltett kérdésnek, mert egy-egy ilyen személyes találkozás alkalmával valódi lehetőségünk nyílik arra, hogy megtaláljuk azt a választ, ami tényleges segítséget jelent.
Először azt jártuk körül, mit is jelent az irányítási vágy: miben nyilvánul meg, miből lehet felismerni, hogy éppen irányítok. Irányítani akar az, aki fenyegetően lép fel, parancsolgat, bántón „beszól”, de az is, aki gyakran hisztérikussá vagy féltékennyé, vagy túlságosan birtoklóvá válik.
Egy szerelmi kapcsolatban ezek mind olyan minőségek, amelyeket nyilvánvalóan szeretnénk elkerülni. Mégis, időről időre mindannyiunkkal előfordul, hogy így viselkedünk.
Az irányítási vágy mélyén mindig a bizonytalanság rejlik, és épp ez hozza el a megoldást is. Akkor várunk irányítóvá, amikor átveszi fölöttünk a hatalmat a félelem. Félünk attól, hogy nem vagyunk elég jók; hogy elhagynak; hogy nem vagyunk szerethetők; hogy valamit elrontunk; hogy fájdalom ér – hogy csak néhányat említsek. Úgy véljük, ha teljesen az irányításunk alá vonjuk a másikat és így kettőnk kapcsolatát, akkor a félelem és a bizonytalanság elmúlik. Ám ez – ahogy valószínűleg már te is tapasztaltad – tévedés. A párunk ettől csak úgy érzi, hogy elnyomják, befolyásolják, semmibe veszik.
A félelem és a bizonytalanság attól múlik el, ha beszélünk róla. Amikor épp kicsinek és mindenre alkalmatlannak érzed magad, nyisd meg a szíved, és mesélj erről a kedvesednek. Így neki arra lesz lehetősége, hogy – az irányításoddal szembeni védekezés helyett - biztosítson a szeretetéről, és megadja neked azt a támogató erőt, amelyre ilyenkor szíved mélyéről vágysz. Így fogod megtapasztalni, a saját erőd épp abban rejlik, hogy a félelmeidről is képes vagy beszélni.
